Bob Marley said that and he was absolutely right! Take a moment right now, sit quietly, take a few deep breaths and then ask yourself if you are satisfied with the life you are presently living. The first answer that comes to you is your intuition talking and is always right. For most of us, the answer will be "No." And that's OK because we are all born with an innate desire to grow and evolve. We feel this because we are part of the Universe, a piece of God, if you will. But if you are feeling like you need a change and know you can do more, than do it. Life's not about being easy or comfortable. Live is about evolving into our greatest version and sometimes life is hard. Damn hard, and it hurts. But once again we must rise up and continue on. You don't have to be the best, just do what you can from where you are with what you have. Life is a process of creation that will never stop no matter if you give up or not. So, instead of settling for less in life, start settling for more!

Mike Dooley said that and he was absolutely right! Having it all, what ever that means to you, is really quite simple. All you have to do is follow this simple formula: The thoughts we think create the way we feel; the way we feel creates the way we act; and the way we act gives us the results we get with our lives. Combine this with focusing on the end result and not the "hows," and you have a winning combination. Oh sure, there will be bumps along the road, but life was never meant to be easy. Simple yes, easy no. Besides, if life were easy you'd never enjoy the moment of your success! Now, read that formula again and then apply it. Simple as Algebra. Wait, I hated algebra. Well, you know what I mean!
As modern humans we often let our mind be the determining factor of our actions. But the mind is really just a data processor that takes in all the data from our five senses, mixes them with memories and then calculates an output. If all we do each and every time is act on the mind's output alone, we'll miss a huge part of why we're here - relationships and connections. Is there someone you feel as if you should reach out to today? Maybe someone is hurting, or perhaps you had a disagreement with someone. Reach out to them today, right now! Start by saying I'm sorry or I love you, and you'll see that they are more than ready to hear from you. Remember, giving starts the receiving process.
Kay Lyons said that and she was absolutely right!
There are many clever quotes like this to remind us that nothing truly exists except for the present moment, but this one uses money to illustrate that point and I feel this may resonate with many people. The present moment; there's nothing else like it! For the simple fact that there is nothing else. What ever you did or have accomplished in the past no longer exists. Yes, we have memories and pieces of paper that tell everyone what we have done, but everything you did is over, finished, done and dusted. The present moment, this very second, is all you will ever have, for our existence is just nothing but a cycle of reoccurring present moments. "What about the future?" you ask? Well, this is the fun part. Because you have control of what is taking place this very second (don't tell me you're stuck in a certain situation because that's not true - you have free will to make things better), you can now change your life simply by changing the way you think, the words you say and the actions you take. Still not with me? Yesterday you did things that have affected today, right? Well, today you will do things that will affect tomorrow. Why not think, say and do the things that will bring you great joy, happiness and success? It's simple folks, you are a creator of the first degree so start creating the future you truly want, not the one you've settled for or the one others have in mind for you. Don't settle for less; start settling for more! Wayne Dyer said that and he was absolutely right!
I read somewhere that we are most like the five people we hang around with the most. Why is that? Well, if we spend a lot of time around people that think a certain way, we tend to pick up the way they think, from the words they say and the actions they take. It's inevitable because it's human nature to copy what we see and hear other people do. Even if it ultimately is a destructive behaviour. We do this because that's the way our primitive brains are wired to learn. So it's not hard to see that if our state of mind is a certain way, so will be our thoughts, words, and actions, which ultimately gives us the results we get in our life. If you're unhappy with the state of your life at the moment, try changing the way you think. Simple, but not easy. Try resting in a quiet place for a few minutes each day and visualize what you would like your life to be like, then let it go. No need to try to hold that thought all day, just think it a few minutes each day. You'll be surprised how much your thoughts go to that place automatically after a couple of weeks of that simple visualization. And once your thoughts change...well, you know the rest of the story. Neale Donald Walsch said that and he was absolutely correct!
What's your passion? Do you have one? As I get older and many people I know are starting to retire from their vocations, I always ask them if they have something they're passionate about Something that they want to pursue once they have more time. Nine out of ten will say, "Nope." I find this so incredibly odd. How could you lived your life on this incredible planet for 65 years and not have found one thing your passionate about? Most of these folks return to their former jobs in some sort of part-time capacity, to make a few extra bucks. Or at least that's what they say. I think if they really looked in the mirror they'd find out it's just a mind game to keep themselves busy, just so they won't have to face the hard fact that they have basically frittered away most of their life with something that really didn't give them any meaning. Whether you agree or disagree with this last statement, it's time to take stock and find your passion. What would you do if money were no object and no one was watching? Do that now. It's not too late to live your passion! Are you one of those people they call procrastinators? You are? Good, because I didn't want to feel alone in this. It's not that I can't make a decision or put things off forever, although there is a couple of things that still need doing around the house that have been there since we moved in almost five years ago! It's mainly because I choose not to do them. I tell myself there are "bigger fish to fry" and that it doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things. And mostly, I'd be right. The point is, if your putting off major decisions because you're undecided, waiting for the right time or for all your ducks to be in a row, I'm sorry, but those things will never happen and so the thing you want to do, that important decision you need to make, will never be made. Do you think that mother duck calls to her ducklings, "Alright, we're going to cross the road. You all line up behind me now!" Nope, she just goes. And when she goes, all her ducklings line up and follow. Same will be for you. Make your decision, put yourself in gear, and go! All those things you were worrying about? They'll just fall into place behind you. Procrastination can help us in the short term, but it can be debilitating in the long term. Make that decision you've been putting off today!
Mike Dooley said this and he is absolutely correct! So, your busy. It's easy to be busy, in fact, we all are. But is what you are busy at moving you forward toward your goals in life or are you just sitting at the dock with your sails up? Many of us shuffle papers and make small talk to avoid doing the things that we need to do in order succeed. Why do we do that? because we're scared. Scared to move to the next level. What if I don't know what to do? What would my friends and family think? Would my piers hate me? These are the thoughts we think, but those thoughts just hold us back. Of course, your scared, you should be, because you haven't been to that next level yet. But that didn't stop you from walking when you could only just crawl did it? What's changed? You're wasting too much time worrying about what others think about you. You didn't do that as a child, you just did stuff. You must learn to let that inner child out. You hoisted your sails to go places, do things, and help others, not to sit at the dock learning to tie knots. get out there and do the things you need to do whether you feel like it or not! Do this and you will most certainly become successful.
Gregg Braden said this and he is absolutely right! I'm sure most of you have already heard of the Law of Attraction (LOA), and I'm sure many of you have watched the movie "The Secret." But what the movie didn't tell you, and most folks found out, is that nothing will happen if you don't first take action. It doesn't matter what type of action, just start. There's an old saying that says, "starting stops most people," and I have personally found this out. Even if it's just baby steps in any old direction because it doesn't matter. As long as you are taking action, the Universe can put people, places and things in motion that will conspire to help you. If you find you're going in the wrong direction, just change course and try another, that's the beauty of movement. But if you just stayed still, sitting on the couch, you would have discovered nothing, except perhaps worry. As Gregg says, if you wish to experience something in life, then become that. And in order to become that, you must take action. Tally-ho!
Zig Ziglar said that and he was absolutely right! Success. It means so many different things to so many different people. But no matter how you slice it, success can never be bought. Like many of us, I've had great success in my life and I've also suffered great defeats. But when I look back on it, the successes usually came after the defeats. Could it be that we're supposed to have these challenging moments in order to spur us on to greater things? Of course, it is. Those are the times we learn, not just about what we want to accomplish, but about who we are. It's the challenges that define us and make us who we are. When we're successful and just coasting we learn very little. Sure, it's nice to enjoy your success for a while and soak it all in, but really, we should already be hoping the next challenging thing would hurry up and get here. So we can learn, grow and become the person we need to be in order to be successful all over again!
